Safety & Reporting
3types is meant to be a place where writing can be ambitious and readers still feel safe. If something crosses a line, tell us. Reports go to a human moderation queue.
Reporting a work or chapter
Open the work and use the report control on the page. Choose a reason, and add detail if it helps us understand the problem. Mislabelled mature content is a valid reason to report.
Reporting a comment
Use the report control on the comment itself. You can also block the person, which stops further interaction with you.
Reporting an account
Report from the writer's profile for issues that span their whole account, such as impersonation, spam, repeated infringement or targeted harassment.
What happens after a report
- Your report is queued for moderator review. Reports are not anonymous to us, but we do not show your identity to the person reported.
- A moderator reviews the content against the Content Guidelines and Terms.
- Illegal content and anything involving risk to a child is treated as the highest priority.
- The report is then resolved or dismissed, and we may contact you if we need more information.
We are still setting response-time targets. We will publish them rather than guess at them.
Actions we can take
- Add or correct a maturity label or content warning.
- Limit distribution: remove a work from discovery, recommendations or emails.
- Remove monetisation eligibility once payments exist.
- Unpublish or delete a work, chapter or comment.
- Restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate an account for serious or repeated breaches.
Appeals
If we remove your content or restrict your account and you think we got it wrong, email safety@3types.app with a link to the content and a short explanation. A moderator who did not make the original decision will review it where we can. We may decline to reinstate content that is illegal or that presents a safety risk.
Urgent risk
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then report to us at safety@3types.app so we can act on the content.
