Privacy Policy
This describes what data 3types collects and why. We've written it for humans, following the framework of UK GDPR and PECR (the UK's cookie and electronic-marketing rules).
What we collect
- Account data: email, username, display name, bio, avatar and banner images you provide.
- Reading activity: what you read, save, like, comment on and follow, so the platform works.
- Analytics events: page views and interactions (e.g. work opened, chapter read) used to understand usage and improve the product.
- Email preferences: your marketing consent, digest and notification choices.
- Payment information (writers): handled entirely by our third-party payment processor — 3types does not store card details.
Why we collect it
To provide the service you sign up for (contract), to keep the platform secure, and — where you've given consent — to send you marketing email. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time in Settings.
Who we share it with
We use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing) to run 3types. They process data on our behalf under their own data-protection commitments. We don't sell your data.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights to access, correct, export and delete your data. You can update your profile and email preferences directly in Settings, or delete your account from Settings. For anything else, contact us using the details below.
